We at Elmore Carpets have been in the flooring business for over 40 years. My late father William F. Elmore Sr. installed carpet in the first Holiday Inn in 1952. As a teenager I worked installing carpets in Holiday Inns and as a college student in 1972 I landed a contract being the 1 st Black Contractor to install Carpet for Sears. Our Company worked as a Flooring Installation company doing work for all of the major stores in Memphis as well as working for businesses, schools, churches and the Federal Government.
Most people know our company via Anthony "Amp" Elmore who was a 5 time World Kickboxing champion. Amp is a Hamilton High School Graduate and active in community development.
